Been using PM for at least 5 years. Started using the free service but quickly upgraded to a paid account.

I am happy to pay a small yearly subscription as a means to dump my previous google mail account.

The ability and option to pay a PM subscription with Bitcoin is excellent.

There is a function to have a number of other emails linked to the main email. For example:

[email protected]
[email protected]

The service overall has a very extensive set of tools and options.

A great email provider for the ones who love privacy. I've been using Proton mail for many years and I must say that it's the safest mail that's available for Tor users as well. I highly recommend Proton mail to everyone who gives high value to privacy.

It's great, but I wish it had a tray icon for email notifications.

Its focus is: an extreme emphasis on security and privacy, offering end-to-end and zero-knowledge encryption, based in Switzerland
It works well for my needs, especially for crypto users, but keep in mind that privacy isn’t unbreakable
Under court orders, the service can and must release certain data to the authorities, even if it’s not the content of the emails, it could be the IP address, payment data, and other metadata.
